Beginning in late summer, great migrations of King Salmon make their way up the river to spawn. Steelhead Trout move up the Klamath in the Fall and make their way back to the Pacific in the Spring. The Klamath River Resort Inn is one of the last historic fishing lodges left on the banks of the Klamath River. We even still have our antique fishing rod holders outside every guest door. Guests are welcome to fish from our banks, rent our Drift Boat or use our shuttle service to drop you and your boat at a designated location on the river.
Our 3-person, 15 foot drift boat is available for our guests to enjoy. We will even make arrangements for someone to row the boat for you! Please call/email for daily rental rate information.
Everyone should experience fishing with an expert at least once!
We have several local fishing guides that are happy to help you feel like a pro while fishing for Salmon or Steelhead trout on the Klamath. We highly recommend our local expert, Mario Gomez, of Ironhead Guide Service. Mario was born and raised on the Klamath River in Happy Camp, California. He has over 25 years of fishing experience on the Klamath and has been a professional Drift Boat Fishing Guide for over 10 years.
