The Klamath River is one
of the most popular destinations for whitewater river rafting in
California. The Klamath River offers the longest water flows in the far
West. The upper section North East of Yreka offers class 3, 4 rapids
while the mid-Klamath (Happy Camp) offers mostly class 2 and 3. The
waters are warm (70+) having traveled over 150 miles from Eastern
Oregon. The Klamath is most popular with families with children who can
not brave the cold snow melt waters in the Sierra Rivers.
Klamath River Resort Inn
lies 2 miles outside of the town of Happy Camp on the banks of the
Klamath River. KRRI is the only riverfront lodging in Happy Camp -
or for 50-100 miles up or downriver for that matter - and one of the
last historic fishing lodges on the Klamath. Our private boat launch is
a great spot to leave you car and paddle down the family friendly lower
section of the Klamath River. This is also a great spot to
end your trip if you put in anywhere upriver.
We can help with shuttles.
